the location of the dome turns ALOT of support away

the saints have been selling tickets like a SOB sicne they dropped prices to levels we haven't seen in YEARS before katrina...before they struggled every week almost having to get bailed out time and time again to prevent tv blackouts....and this was pre storm katrina economy

there are plenty of people who have moved out of NO (and alot of these people actually make more than the city average income) whonow live in mandeville, covington, bush, praireville, gonzaales, hammond, ponchatoula

they got out of NO for a reason...crime, schools, lack of education, simple attitude and lack of consideration of many of its citizens...take your pick

putting the stadium in la place(accessible by i-55 and i-10 from 2 directions) makes it more accesible from people around the state (and region) but yet is still close enough to support people who wanted to visit BR or NO or traveled from either location for the game

would it eliminate alot of the current fans from attending some games? yeah...absolutely, but i don't think that is a bad idea

Superdome is antiquated, needs to be replaced badly, that idea they had awhile back when I still lived there, about a state of the art retractable arena by the riverwalk would have been a stroke of genius, would have revitalized the whole area, but just like most shite in NO it went by the waistside.

There's a 30,000 person waiting list, and while the Saints going to the shitter could turn off bandwagoners, it would take a long time for that to happen. So you would move it from one of the best cities to have fun in on the planet to a town with absolutely nothing to do to make it easier for certain people who can't even go to games to go there.

you are a moron, the location is perfect, how many other NFL stadiums can you walk right out the door and within minutes walk to the bars? after almost every game i walk to the quarter to have a few drinks. however, if i gotta drive 3 miles, then find parking, frick that i will be on my way back to BR

I hate the superdome. A perfect location, and possibly the best, would be where the Iberville projects are now located. Now that would revitalize the city.

part of the reason we get the super bowls is the dome's location and you want to move shite out to laplace?
