The US FedGov CDC has NOT been doing it's job of preparing to protect us from disease. Instead, it was spending its time and money on Politically Correct projects that have NOTHING to do with research on and prevention of disease-outbreaks in the USA.
CDC has already bungled the fight against COVID-19. Let's hope they can get their shite together.
The FedGov of the USA has completely failed us, and will do so again, because it will prove to be a repressive and regressive Neo-Marxist sub-entity of some Global Governance Model.

What are the numbers you have looked at? Supposedly about 20% of corona infected people are just carriers who's symptoms are like a mild cold and don't even know they have corona flu.

Well, 2.1% of the people that get the Coronoavirus die.
.1% of the people that get the flu die.
BUT... a whole lot more people get the flue than get the Coronavirus. So the flu does kill more people. But Cornoavirus is more deadly.

It depends on who you listen to obviously. When this thing first started there were people right here on this board claiming this shite was gonna kill 95% of the people that contracted it.
Here we are two months later and according to Trump and the CDC just last night there were a grand total of 15 cases and all but one had either recovered or had already been sent home.
This is fear mongering. Pure and simple. Same as every other damn outbreak we have heard about for the last decade.

The issue of how deadly COVID-19 might be is not my main point here. I'm merely pointing out how utterly incompetent and anti-USA our own FedGov has been for decades.
The last US penicillin manufacturing plant closed in 2004. Now most of our medical supplies are made in China - a country that considers the USA to be an Enemy Nation.
CDC has already bungled the response to the first reports coming in about COVID-19. There is every reason to believe that, because they have been infected with Leftism for decades, they will continue to frick up - perhaps by accident, but, maybe not?

And yes, if you're going to factor "how deadly" something is you can't just go off the mortality rate. You gotta factor rate of spread.
