I do like the name Blue Jackets. It's original, geographically meaningful.

That seating arrangement in the ends looks like it was inspired by Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh.

This is the key though. That area is as nice as anywhere. Rest of the town tries to claim superiority based on it.

Probably all already stated, I haven’t read through, but in photos, some useless info

Getting a new MLS stadium downtown

Which is down by the Huntington park and Nationwide Arena and adds to the Arena District. Lots of concerts, sports and sports bars down here

The Scioto Mile was recently revamped. It’s a nice little walkway downtown by the river. Different events and festivals are held here in nicer months

The Short North is sort of the trendy, artsy area of town. Some good restaurants down here and lots of gays(if you’re into that)

German Village is also a nice little area with some good food. Lots of bricks and sausage(different type than that found in the Short North).

University District(the campus area). Lots of bars and restaurants. Basically what you would expect from a campus.

And most of those areas listed on a map, to help with idea of where things are

Some nice areas in town aside from those listed, along with some nice suburbs(Polaris area, Dublin, New Albany).

Whenever I went to Walmart everybody in there was Somali. Even the workers. It was bizarre.

Those are Indians
Columbus does have a large Somali population though(I think possibly the largest in the US, but I believe they’re more around the Morse Rd area)

I get the recognition for German Village, but in my opinion, Victorian Village is a better area than GV and its right downtown in the core of the city. Great proximity to bars and nightlife. This area is ridiculously expensive though.

Victorian Village:

Agree.

Great college town, but with a vibrant, diverse economy.

Airport is a little on the small side, but serviceable.

Excellent restaurants, good food, but like all yankees, they don't understand seasoning.

Free tats.

Has some poor areas, but crime isn't OOC like a lot of places.

Plenty of other really nice towns/suburbs. Powell is ridiculously nice. Upper Arlington ain't too shabby either and may be the highest priced residential real estate in Columbus.

Yeah, people always talk up Dublin, but as a suburb, it’s Powell’s poor older brother. Powell has some serious money, though it’s smaller than Dublin.

Crime rate is 1/3 less than Baton Rouge and it's a much larger city.

How do you make a decent living? lol. Columbus has a vibrant local economy.

Listen here, just because you live in VA doesn’t mean you get to tempt fate for the rest of us.

Columbus is awful. Terrible crime. No jobs.
