He should be a first rounder and only 2nd RB behind JK Dobbins. I think Dobbins is the better overall NFL RB but CEH is just so damn versatile with great hands. I’m very surprised he’s not a 1st rd projection

No, he shouldn't.

He's a great player for us, but RBs in general have to be a RARE talent to get a first round grade IMO.

He'll be a solid NFL player, but the shelf life of the position and lack of homerun speed means he shouldn't be a 1st rounder.

I love the guy and root him well, but think with your brain, not your heart here.

If he kills it at the combine, he can move up. The only thing holding him back is his height, in the minds of NFL scouts.

Whoever takes him in the 2nd or 3rd round is gonna get the steal of the draft, though.

Running back isn't a high value position. Thus, very few get taken in the first round. And the ones that do usually have exceptional athletic ability. See: Leonard Fournette.

CEH is a great player. But he doesn't have the speed to be a home run threat in the NFL. Many teams may not see him as an every down back that can stand up to the punishment of an NFL season. Someone is going to get a very good player in the 2nd - 4th round, but I don't think many teams have the position of RB as a 1st round priority.

? Nfl teams more than likely don’t care about his height, his long speed is the issue
He’s the same height as swift probably

Shouldn't have left! In my opinion. Great running back at LSU and appreciate all he has done. So, you think he is better than Najee Harris at Alabama? I am afraid that there are several backs that are physically bigger than CEH that will push CEH to 3rd round.

Which is silly, he's built like a rock. He's strong and stocky and is 206 lbs at the weigh in. Probably plays closer to 215 and lost weight for the 40.

Dude can deliver punishment and will handle it.

The break away speed thing is the real issue here IMO. If he cranks out a 4.5, he'll make a lot more money.

Absolutely horrific take.

His stock would NEVER be higher and there is limited tread on RB tires.

Is he going to grow more in a year?

The position is just too devalued.

And he’s not a bell cow build your team around back, which doesn’t mean he won’t have. Ton of success it’s just those are the guys going in the st these days.

CEH 5’7 1/4” 208

Swift 5’8 1/4” 212

Pretty close

I’ve been telling the clowns on this board Clyde will be a first rounder. I’m usually right so the Clyde doubters will have lots of crow to eat

Do you truly believe that he would be drafted higher next year than he will be this year?

Why bc he is short? In today’s NFL, he is the definition of an every down back. Tough inside runner, powerful and elusive, and very good catching passes and in pass protection.

I agree that he probably won’t go on the 1st day bc of his position but he seems like 2nd is highly likely.

Wonder if he dropped some weight focusing on the 40 time. I would have thought he would’ve been closer to 215.

I'm gonna say he definitely did.

His whole draft position is hinging on proving he has some speed to break big runs.

CBS has him ranked as the #32 best prospect on the board.

Also runningbacks should always leave early if draftable

CEH is an outstanding individual. However, he will not be the feature back for any NFL team. He has to go where a power runner is already established, and he can be used for his strength in versatility. Baltimore would be a good home for him. Maybe Tennessee. He won’t be drafted round 1, but he could still be a big time player.

He was listed at 209 at LSU and weighed in at 207 at the combine. I don't think he's lost any weight and he's not a burner but has shown he has plenty enough speed to break off big runs. He had plenty throughout the season
