It is quite simple, but if I have to explain it, the fun is all sucked out. You should be able to get it. It is on a late elementary, or Jr. high level.

Why are you always such a bitch?

Civil war and slavery are a myth. That’s why the statues came down. Next we need to remove any remembrance of that trouble maker MLK.

The money could have been used to address infrastructure issues at the Sewage and Water Board. Those issues allowed for flooding of impoverished families in NOLA. I would imagine if given a choice, they would have rather kept the statues and not had to deal with their homes flooding. FWIW, I had an SJW Dem friend of mine state that the tax funded money used by the city to remove the statues wasn't money that could have been used to address flooding concerns. My response...it all comes the same source. Her response...no it doesn't. Needless to say, I stopped there. FWIW she has a bad case of TDS. Shocking I know.

It's called progress. The south needs to move on from this type of racist bull shite. The time to honor the Confederacy and what it stood for has past.
You try being a person of color seeing that crap everyday. Even as an asian I'm disgusted by the disdain and hatred toward the non-white races and white elitism it projects.
They took down the statues of Hitler and Sadaam too and it was good.
Substitute this for statues of ancient civilizations in the Middle East and Asia and you'd fit right in with the Taliban.

She's probably right and not you.
It all depends on how certain money from certain sources is earmarked for use.
So...

This is America. We have a RIGHT to have monuments to people who fought against us!
Show me where in the constitution where local governments aren't allowed to remove monuments on their own fricking land?

Imagine being such an authoritarian that you think because you don't like or are offended by something that nobody else should be able to view it. Again, American progressives are more dangerous to monuments than radical Islamists.

Is there any reason they should be able to view on public property instead of a museum?

Dude, you got all emotional over this topic, made a dumb nonsensical post about it, and then you got called out by that other dude for being a dumb arse. Just take the mocking you earned like a man and move on- it’s not that big of a deal.

Imagine being such a fragile snowflake that you want to tell other local municipalities what monuments they can or can not have. If they don't want it then they shouldn't be required to have it. How about you buy your own land and put the monuments of your choosing on them? Or put up monuments in your own towns and parks?
I just don't get why people are so butt-hurt about which monuments are up.
