After Tuesday we will know who the nominee is

There will be 1344 delegates awarded on that day from several states. I think if Biden can win South Carolina with its 54 delegates, he can get momentum heading into Tuesday and close the gap with Sanders.

Trump / Bernie debates would be amazing.

But does he have to win that sob running away though? Sounds like he's hurting for dough, and his money trees may get chopped down if his win isn't convincing enough to demonstrate that he isn't a money pit.

Bernie has a significant margin in California and is leading in most polls in Texas. Those are the 2 big prizes.
Biden and Bloomberg will split the South.
Klobuchar will take Minnesota.
Warren will win Massachusetts.
Come in 2nd in California while eating up proportional delegates along the way.
In other words, it'll be a clusterf*ck.
Although it may be over for Pete after Super Tuesday.

The DNC needs to have a serious talk with some of the also rans. They’re splitting the votes which would stop Bernie.

I thought the point was to keep Bernie from winning before the convention? Doesn't any vote that does not go to Bernie help to that end?

If Bernie makes it to the general, the arse whooping will be comparable to Nixon/McGovern in ‘72 or Reagan/Mondale in ‘84...

yes but not in numbers. A Republican could actually win statewide in Cali back then.

Depends. The establishment doesn't want its horses coming in below 15% so they're better off making sure they don't split too many ways.

Joe Biden has lost the ability to talk...
his teeth look ready to fall out
he looks like a fraud to me

its not winner/plurality take all like gop primaries.
as of today biden is polling at 23%.
sanders 21%
steyer 15 and change.
steyer has all his eggs in the south carolina basket.
hes likely to hit the 15% threshold in some congressional districts and win delegates.
sanders will win delegates.
three candidates, maybe a fourth will hit 15% in various areas.
no one is getting 50 delegates or even 40.
based on the current polling:
30 will be a very good haul for biden and thats only if his votes are distributed in an ideal way. sanders at 21% will win all the college towns.
21 and 23 are close enough to be within polling margin of error.
if biden is 2nd in vote total even if he squeaks delegate count over sanders, to answer your hopeful question: biden will have no momentum at all.
biden will not win 54 delegates.
now that you are more educated, how many delegates does biden need to win in south carolina to impress super tuesday voters to get on his "bandwagon"?

Trump could just keep asking “how much would that cost?” and give Bernie a heart attack

they will need to keep warren in it all the way.
on many issues they are very similar or identical.
she quits, bernie gets 65% of her supporters.

counter productive.
it gives sanders the chance to explain that any big changes require congress and congress writes the bills.
he can go on to say you get to decide if you want more oil wars or to care for your fellow Americans.

Why don’t you just answer the question?
You know deep down that Bernie can’t.

lets say for the sake of argument that biden gets 25 delegates.
he can say he won.
and it would be his first.
thats his teams hope.
25. not 54.
more likely
25 biden
20 sanders
9 steyer
just as likely
sanders 23
biden 21
steyer. 10
