i think the fans decided that wasnt good enough. its why there has been a decrease in viewership and race attendance. the manufactured racing has been boosting the tv ratings. I understand that it cheapens the racing, but I don't really mind it. Both football and basketball promote offense because it is what is exciting, this is no different IMO. The best drivers/teams continue to rise to the top, so it's not like it is creating undeserved winners. Just closer races with increased competition throughout.

Yeah, the peak ended. It is what it is

I take your point in general, it just all seems like too much to me though. NASCAR has always had some of this with restrictor plates and well timed “debris” cautions.

If they want more action, I think they should run more short tracks, and rovals. Don’t have to worry about competition cautions for either of those.
