Astros cheated to win a world series. Just a reminder.

Correct, yes they did.

Now, the 2009 Yankees team with A-Rod, Melky, and Robinson Cano definitely didn't cheat at all. Nor did the Cora-led 2018 Red Sox, nope nothing at all there.

Is it human trafficking to recruit talented players from a communist regime, only to offer freedom and then pay them millions of dollars?

I would assume the biggest problem are the bribes and the people that teams deal with arent awesome. Its definitely seedy and needs to be cleaned up

Yes. This is the reason there are so many border patrol agents to the west of Lake Charles on I-10. This exact phenomenon

Well it's currently on my mind as the 2009 team's manager just blurted out admission to a sign stealing scheme on national tv yesterday

This scandal would be mostly died down if it was anyone other than the Dodgers and Yankees directly affected.

Human trafficking is using force, fraud, or deception to take someone against their will and use them as a sex worker or laborer. The Dodgers didn't do any of that.

Dumbass.

Yep. You're clueless. These threads have made it very clear which posters have real baseball knowledge (even some Astros guys here) and which ones are just reacting emotionally to "their team" getting busted.

Yes we clearly weren't involved in human trafficking. But this is one of those underbelly things that the sport engages in that probably needs a lot more attention and regulation

So what you are saying is human trafficking isn’t fine as long as it’s regulated?

With the DOJ involved it’s a little more than that Serpico.

Wanna help me out with what I'm clueless about here? Were A-Rod, Melky, and Cano - all known cheaters and PED users - not all playing for the Yankees during their last title run? I'm fully admitting the Astros cheated and had to cheat in order to win their World Series. You have to cheat to beat cheaters.

Yeah the whole thing about Cuban players floating up to Florida on an innertube is not how it happens. They use "coyotes" to sneak them into Mexico and then to the USA from there. It's one of those things where teams don't want to know how it happens so they can continue to be willfully ignorant.
