This is absolutely a BS excuse for them playing bad defense and if you are having to tell them where to be at at this point in the season, you haven't done your job teaching your concepts on defense. High schoolers aren't confused about what their role is on both sides of the court much less just on defense.

I agree. I will give you an interesting tidbit from the UK post game player interviews and You can take it FWIW. One of the players said in response to UK media question about the late second half run they made that the UK players told their coaches in a TO huddle that LSU players were tired and they were not and they could take advantage of that. I dont know how accurate that was because LSUmade a good end game run.

Sorry Coach but at this point in the season if they still don’t know then that’s on you!

LSU is is undersized and has a very short bench. Having said that LSU has been below average on defense all of WW tenure and JJones before that.

We have no Bigs on this team. No rim protector. No Bigs so far in next year’s recruiting class. A couple on the radar screen. Freshman rarely are SEC ready rim protectors.
Maybe Shareef if eligible will help.

Nothing new here The defense being in front of the bench is not really much of a reason one way or the other.

My first reply in this thread and i haven't read it all so I apologize if this has already been mentioned. When I heard the full context of the comments on the radio, it sounded to me like he was talking about the players not communicating and calling out switches. Communication is a vital part of team defense.
