So many mixed emotions on this topic. I travelled the road with a daughter. Her issues were a result of genetics and social pressure. Been clean for al ost ten years, but I am thankful for each day, knowing the urge will always be there.
Have friends that have travelled the road because of medical issues. Over prescribed to the addiction level. Hard to watch someone resort to street drugs and prices. Imagine if you will, a $ 1K a day problem. That one quite & put a 9mm in his his head.
My largest fear at this point is for the youth. One fun night easily leads to a lifetime problem. Unfortunately, the money is just to damn big to stop it. I don’t have a solutions & doubt there is one to be found. Sad.
