Sounds classless. He didn't have much good to say about LSU. I'm sure the real reason why he chose uga was because of LSUs depth at receiver.
And the article shows that some players want(ed) to play for Brady instead of LSU.

Seems pretty easy to me. He would’ve never started here next season. He will there and it’s his home state.

quote:

A month later, LSU passing game coordinator Joe Brady leaves to become the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers.

"When he left, it just clicked that I had truly made the right decision," Burton said. "I mean, it's honestly a blessing in my eyes. It was a big decision with my family. I had to think deeper. I had to think long term and where I wanted to be after football. Being in the state of Georgia, building my like brand and having the connections even after football."

The next day, Georgia hires Todd Monken as its new offensive coordinator, signaling the eventual departure of James Coley after one year in charge of Georgia's offense.

"I am 100 percent with it," Burton said. "I kind of got the memo awhile back that coaching changes can happen and I embrace it. We have an OC here ready to change things up and get to work and so are we. I am excited to work with him."

Pot meet kettle

kid wanted to be close to mom and grandma but the writer of the article uses him as a rah rah mouthpiece for the program and loads the article up with contradictory statements.

Funny they are all pumped about Monken and LSU fans are somewhat tepid on Linehan. Linehan's resume >>>>

I’ll take kayshon over burton any day. Those comments about LSU “going downhill” kinda irked me. Whatever, he better enjoy going to the sugar bowl every yr.

Hating on an 18 yr old for picking a college other than the college you wanted him to go to is never a good look.

Kids have a right to go to the college they want to go to. All the kids who chose LSU this year had multiple offers and turned down other schools. Some fans from the schools LSU recruits turned down are running down our recruits too.

Its not a good look when other fans do it, not a good look when our fans do it. Just saying.

Honestly, gotta respect that Burton let the LSU coaches know as soon as he made the decision to flip.

I believe he flipped to UGA to stay close to momma. As he is a momma's boy. Everything else is contrived and made up.

His article just reads like he didn't want to compete. I don't blame him LSU is loaded at WR and are going to be filthy rich after this incoming Louisiana class.

Cliff note version:

1. Close to mama.
2. Less competition and can play earlier.

The rest is complete BS. Atlanta is a TERRIBLE sports town. Good luck building a “brand” there. Coaches leave all the time - quit pretending that UGA will have the exact same staff four years from now. LSU has a much better track record of putting WR’s in the NFL.

No hard feelings. LSU is going to be just fine with their WR class.
