He was a top 30-40 national recruit coming out and then had heart surgery. Those who can’t figure out why he’s been minute restricted (contributing to his unimpressive stats) simply don’t know what they’re talking about.

Fans who watched his Dad play have the knowledge to understand they don't have the same skill sets. The game has changed as well since Shaq played.

This isn’t the 70’s, 80’s or 90’s. The traditional Center is a dinosaur and not needed in college basketball. You want bigs 6’8 - 6’10 who can get out and run and play some around the perimeter.
And don’t forget, LSU has already signed the #23 player in the country (Cam Thomas) a SG who is a pure scorer in the mold of Marcus Thornton and Antonio Blakeney (though not quite the explosive athletes those two were)
