On AFR today Matt and Kendall Rodgers were discussing the top pitchers in the sec. Rodgers mentioned Rocker, Lacy and Hancock as the best 3 and possible best 3 in the country. I think Henry has a chance to be on that level if he can stay healthy. What is so crazy is Hill might be the best pitcher on this team and he's our set up guy. Can't wait for opening day fellas and ladies.

Of course he can be on their level. We need to see if hancock shakes off that slump he was in at the end of last season.
Also mason hickman hasnt been getting the love i think he deserves

This honestly might be the deepest pitching staff Paul has had in quite some time. If Eddie Smith can have a good of impact as Brady had on the football team, we can be special. Here's to health and prosperity.

I’ve been following LSU baseball since Skip arrived in mid 80’s...and this is definitely the deepest pitching staff I’ve seen. We have 3 Friday level starters for the weekend when completely healthy...then 3 or so weekend starters waiting in the wings in the pen. It really is a sick staff...but we’ll see.

It doesn't have to be that profound for this team to be deeply competitive. That's the most encouraging thing. Any hitting strategy other than "hack at the first strike" is likely to produce some fun results with this pitching staff.

I said I thought we have 3 Friday level starters in our weekend rotation...I’m not sure what else you want me to say.

A good start would be to teach everyone how to bunt first.

Marceaux is definitely a Friday night talent. Labas is a Saturday night guy on most legit teams.

Hill could quite possibly be the best pitcher in the SEC when healthy.

This is what scares me about Paul.....He’s a hard headed SOB that doesn’t want anyone else to get any credit.......

“How has Coach Smith’s influence changed the team’s approach at the plate?”

Paul Mainieri: “I don’t think it’s really changed it as much as everybody thinks it has because Eddie and I have known each other for a long time. I was his college coach at Notre Dame and then he went and worked with Brian O’Conner, who was my assistant at Notre Dame, so a lot of the same philosophies have been there throughout Eddie’s career. “

He is not. Everybody wants to compare him to a college football coach we fired 3 year ago. Nobody off of this message board and most on don't believe this or want CPM gone.
