I was at 5th and Grand Ave in the River Market and the route ran down to around 23rd and Grand. What I noticed was unlike the Royals parade where a lot of people ended up down at the Union Station rally many left the Chiefs parade after it passed by. I think if the temps were a little warmer the crowd would have been quite a bit larger around Union Station.

But who has more fans?
I think Weather really was an issue just because it brings out the non fans.
People are acting like you just walk up to where you want to sit or stand an hour before the parade and you are fine. People started claiming their spots at 2:00 and 3:00 in the morning. If you wanted to be able to see anything you were going to have to stand out in that weather for nine or ten hours. That is going to eliminate most of the old people and families with young children, not to mention those with angry bladders and bowel syndromes. I would also imagine that there would have been some people who went to the Royals parade with no knowledge of how much of a pain in the arse it is to try to get around a confined area that has half a million people in it, learned from the experience and said I'll find a nice bar or restaurant in the Power and Light District, the Plaza, or Westport and do my celebrating there this time.

I heard they also blocked off some of those overhead walkways down there because during the Royals parade people just used them as viewing points and clogged the whole artery up as a result.

Are there power and lights in the power and light district?

That’s all y’all do is parade. I was in NOLA in March of 2016 and people are practicing before the St Patty’s Day parade....lol!

What does knowing or not knowing whether a split city has more people on one side or the other of the state line have to do with "intellect"?
If you never go there why would you give a shite?
You've just shown your intellect, and it's not impressive.

The town itself is pretty underwhelming. And by pretty underwhelming I mean it's underwhelming.
