I know I know - offseason thread and all that, hopefully this will reduce the # of threads on this.

Derek Stingley retweeted a LSU Jersey #7 hype video today from the SEC Network twitter account today with the caption "Legends !"

To which Ja'marr Chase replied "all yours".

These being the two most likely candidates for the jersey, it seems safe to say (as many assumed) the phenom Derek Stingley Jr will don the P&G #7 next year.

I hope you're right, but this won't stop the #18 threads, which I don't believe will be announced until August.

It doesn't matter much to me who wears #7, but I think it should be more of a one year thing. Stingley will be here for two more years.

I don't have a vote, but if I did, it would be Chase.

Let Stingley establish #24 as his own before he's honored with #7 for one season, his junior season.

Excellent video. What would have been epic is if the video wrapped up with about 20-30 seconds of those players Gettin the Gat!

I wish he would rock 24 and make it his own as opposed to following in the footsteps of others.

It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't keep #24... That is the number his grandfather wore in the NFL if I'm not mistaken.

Edit: His grandfather wore #84 when he was injured, but I know he has shared a photo before of someone in #24... Possibly his dad?

But who will be 18? And who will be 9? And who will be 3? Or 25?

I swear... does anybody honestly give a shite about any of this?

Im superstitious about numbers so if I just won a championship wearing a certain number the last thing I would do is change it.
