PFF's 2020 NFL Draft Position Rankings: Running Backs

5. CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRE, LSU
Draft Board Rank: N/A
The single biggest mover at the position with his play in 2019, Edwards-Helaire showed a fairly complete NFL skill set for the Tigers this year. He’s short at just 5-foot-8, but he's not small at 209 pounds. All that lack of height does is make his lateral agility a nightmare for opposing linebackers on angle routes. He hauled in 55 of his 64 targets for 453 yards in the LSU passing game this year, with three drops and 14 broken tackles mixed in. He also finished with the second-highest rushing grade of any back in the country at 92.0.

I appreciate what PFF does but Zach Moss at 1 is laughable. I’d take Swift and Edwards-Helaire over Moss any day. If they are gonna knock Taylor for having a lot of tread why not Moss? He’s been a 3 year starter and has a shite ton of carries as well. Plus he plays in a weak arse Pac 12 which doesn’t play defense apart from his own team.

Barry Sanders...5'8" 202lbs
Emmitt Smith...5'9" 209lbs
Walter Payton...5'10" 200 plus
Size means nothing.

Probably discussed before.....but why is Travis Etienne returning?
Seems foolish for a RB.
Doesn’t Clemson have RBs ready to take his place?

PFF has a draft board rank of 76 for JK Dobbins at 4th on the RB list and CEH who is 5th on the list has a draft board rank of N/A. At 76, that puts Dobbins in the 3rd round. I have read elsewhere that CEH has a 2nd round draft grade so this doesn't add up.

Ree thanks for all you do in the athletic office. I hope the pressure is on to hire top notch passing game coordinator and someone to help E.
