A girl I knew in high school's boyfriend hit someone who was walking in the street and killed him. The boyfriend had been drinking, but the guy in the street was on drugs and would have met the same fate regardless of the sobriety of the driver that hit him. I can't remember if the boyfriend spent any time in jail or just got probation. Anyway they're married now and live a normal life.

Knew a girl leaving Parlay's and killed a woman who was law school professor at Loyola. She did a couple of years in prison.

no but i know a drunk driver who tried to kill someone. it was me. i was trying to kill myself by driving drunk late at night and crashing my truck hoping to end my life. what happened was that when the police came i had to weigh my options of going to jail or being checked into a psych ward, so i chose jail instead knowing that being checked into a psych ward would damage my reputation more than going to jail. that was 3 and half years ago and im doing better than when i was prior to the crash and the attempt
