There's more to running this offense than reading Brady's play sheet and regurgitating it.

So I need 10,000 post ta post? Haha! You guys are unreal. I do know Coach O on a first name basis. There are people out there that can run this offense. 1 guy is at the Bengals. They are plenty more. NFL probably has lots of them. Payton told Brady not to go to LSU. Most of those guys want to stay pro guys.

Brady was a fantastic position coach and game coach.
No, he didn’t invent the offense — but that’s what we’re looking to replace. Someone to continue coaching up the WRs + someone who excels at making adjustments in real time.

Sure would like to see Pettigrew step up and make his presence known, he sure seemed on his way in the spring last year. It was great to see all the o-linemen who will most likely start next year get a lot of playing time. The thing that I hope the next guy can do is communicate the checks, route combos and precision in which the wr's played with this year. If Ensminger, Joseph and analysts picked all this up the offense should be ok.

Yeah I’m sure you’re real tight. Just wanted to come here and run it by us first before you went straight to your personal friend with the groundbreaking news that you watched a video of some coach talking about some things the LSU offense did this year?

Well, believe as you wish. I never said we were best friends.

We will see what Brady does at Carolina. There are more Brady’s out there than Burrow’s. I never brought up Coach O. Someone else said they would run it by coach being sarcastic. I said he didn’t have to bc I knew him myself. Never in my original post did I mention knew Coach O.

Exactly! I have some pretty decent cooking skills; but I could watch the best chef in the world and even have his recipe book, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that my food will come out looking and tasting the same way.
When watching videos of practice excerpts, it appeared as though Brady really knew how to teach the offense and help players understand on the field how to read the defense and figure out what they need to do in running or changing their route. My concern is finding a coach that can not only understand what has been put in place, but will know how to properly teach it to the players and continue expanding on what has been done.

The problem is trying to isolate one thing being responsible for a happening. There was way more than Brady’s spread at play. There was Joe Burrow. There was the best OL we have had in awhile. There was a RB who was a perfect fit for the offense. There were a lot of good receivers at WR, TE and RB. There was depth on the team at all offensive positions.
Believe it or not a lot of those same things are here for the 2020 season. Cregg will reload the OL, the receiver situation is virtually the same, and we have some really talented RB and TE. The playbook is still here. The play caller is still here. If Brennan does a good job, and I think he will, this wil be a really dangerous offense.
As for the D, it could be better than last year.

Brady didn't create a new offense or anything. We were just extremely proficient at running it. We ran it to perfection. I'm sure ensminger learned some things from Brady that he will keep in your offense moving forward. We are going to be fine. We weren't going to run the exact same offense this coming year we did last year anyway. Different personnel and different qb more than anything. We have to make an offense that maximizes our talents and what we do well. They will get it done. Geaux tigers.

That wasn’t aimed at you. I responded to you by accident. Some a hole calling people peasants, hence my post. Nothing you said warranted that kind of insult.

Ok. I have been a HS coach for 25 years. Coach O has recruited my kids at every stop and I have been to numerous coaching clinics at LSU as well as practices. I am a recruiting junkie. I keep up with recruiting a lot. I recently sat and listen and then talked to Bengals QB coach at Senior Bowl coaching clinic. Dude knows a lot. The offense he talked about and went over is very similar to LSU’s last year. I suspect lots of pro coaches knew this offense. I was just repeating what he said for the board. But as usual everyone shits on people who come here with stuff. I have read this board long time without posting anything.

The NFL gets tape on everything and then they just mimic what they see.

By your logic, Ensminger should have been able to run that offense before Brady got there, since it was already being done somewhere and he could have looked at tape of it.

This guy worked with McVay at Rams. They ran very similar stuff. Slinger working with Brady a year and having access to tape should give him a huge jump start. Slinger is no idiot.

My concern is that proper to the 2018 season E went out to LA and talked to the Rams about their offense and talked to the saints about their offense and his takeaway was to just run his old offensive out of 11 personnel.
But we were lining RBs and TEs our wide, we were using all 5 in the passing game all that much and we were using route concepts from the 90s to try and beat coverages.
