Had a guy from up North from a town that's almost 90% white tell me, a guy from a town in the south that's 70% black, that blacks can't be racist to whites.

If there truly was a left of center “half”, the current field would not be running on nonsense such as Medicare for all, the Green New Deal, decriminalizing border crossings, etc. Perhaps there was a half as you claim, but they have obviously shifted outside of the party.

The centrist wing doesn't frame issues that way because it's not a winning way to build a coalition within the party. They talk about what's pragmatically possible & suggest that some of the leftier policies are either politically costly, politically not feasible, or both.
