I don't understand the tipping everyone one fad we are in these days.
Normal people have been tipping for their haircuts for at least 20 years.

Way longer than 20 years

so your mandated choices are 25%, 33%, or 50%
if they not happy with 25% then dont tip at all, tips are not required and shouldnt be expected or extorted.

You can also pick custom tip and put what you want.

But why? They can charge whatever they want for a haircut. If it isn't enough, they can raise their prices. I know the place that cuts my hair has raised their's significantly over the past several years.
I used to tip, you tip, evidently everyone tips, yet they still raise the price.

mine has a boobs rubbed over your head and face option

My stylist is a somewhat attractive divorced 40-something woman who is an independent contractor renting a chair in a large salon/spa. She charges $20 and I tip $5 because sometime during the cut she always manages to rub a boob across my face.

Have you ever thought that their rent and other expenses may be going up? That's not always the reason as I'm sure some are just seeing the demand and wanting to raise prices, but the market will eventually dictate if they are charging too much.

I am bald on top and just get a number one all over . I keep the top clean with an electric razor.
They charge me 3.99 for the cut.
I always give them 6 dollars I figure 50 percent is good.
I am in the chair less than 5 minutes.
Benefits of old and bald I guess?
All Asian place...my other barber before I moved charged me 16 for same thing and I would give him a 20 and another 10 to a guy to shine my shoes. He did spend more time but the result is the same.

I get mine all buzzed off with no guard on the clippers. Could do it myself, but I'm afraid to shave the back of my neck. I go to a real barber includes the neck shave with the haircut. Pay $15 and tip $5.

Mind your own business, pal
Posted on 1/25/20 at 1:08 pm to notiger1997
So, you are telling me that without a tip they are losing money on every haircut?
Sounds like bad business.

Tipping is fine. Expecting a tip when you literally set your own wages is not.

Mine is typically $23 and I give her $33
