Are there really no marriageable men in New Orleans?

Two young single white females I know (no pics) complain all the time. They say guys in New Orleans are
1. Unemployed or underemployed (i.e., poor).
2. Peter Pan (don’t want to grow up, don’t want to commit, just want to party and get laid).
3. Gay or weirdly non-binary.
One of them went to Dallas on a girls trip and came back overwhelmed with the number of single men she encountered. She is actually considering relocating to find love. (I have no idea whether these guys were posers or douchebags. Just going on what she said.)
So what’s going on here? Is this real?

But real talk, when I’m Dallas they went outside their element. In New Orleans they likely stayed in their same circles. Same circles = same people = typically what people associate with all people in a city.
