Governor will start ordering the arrest of all police chiefs and sheriffs who do not comply.
The courts need to step in now and end this insanity

Well, he can try. But I think he’s probably going to have a hard time finding anyone to arrest THEM.

"Sir, please arrest yourself for non compliance."

I don’t know about across the nation but in most southern states it is pretty damn hard to arrest the sheriff

That Deputy in the middle could be a poster man for Drill Sergeants.

This. They are asking for a rebellion, and they damn sure might get some pockets of violence.

Can you cite Southern state law that gives wide immunity to sheriffs?

It's cute you believe police are required to act.

In Alabama and Mississippi I know only the county coroner can arrest the the Sheriff

It’s cute that you think none of them will.

Interesting. In Texas, it’s always been said only a constable can arrest the sheriff, but I don’t think that’s true. The Texas Rangers have arrested sheriffs.

Thanks for putting words in my mouth, because I never said that. A portion of police are jack booted thugs just looking for reasons to kick down doors, of course they'd love to no-knock warrant into some 65 year old's house because he has a WW2 era antique handgun. You asked why sheriffs can get away with not arresting people... simple they have no requirement to act.

Yes, it's called click click boom.

Can you cite a case, in any state, where local law enforcement officers have publicly stated they will not enforce gun-control laws and have been arrested or even disciplined for their stance?
Oh, and nice try with the 2013 Grisham picture, got off with a misdemeanor unrelated to open carrying and was later somebody who helped get OC laws phase in Texas. You moron.

Lots of similar statements on discussion boards, but not one single reference to a specific statute. Maybe a lawyer from one of these two states can chime-in.

Will the inevitable downvoter please cite the specific statute upon which he relies? Thanks in advance.
