Ensminger clarified Brady’s role before the Natty

Media Interview prior to National Championship
I read constantly about what Brady may or may have done in his role as passing game coordinator. Ensminger is pretty candid and explains Brady’s role without sugar coating it in this interview time.
In short, he explains that Brady was better/ more knowledgeable with the bunch formations, 5 wides, and he had control from the 12 yard line in once in the red zone. So essentially, if it was a bunch set, 5 wide, or inside the 12 yard line, then there is a good chance it was Brady calling it. Brady was also the one responsible for talking with Burrow between drives so that Ensminger could be preparing for what they saw and how to attack the next drive.
Ensminger controlled the tempo, called our hurry up plays, and called our red zone plays between the 12-20 yard line for sure, along with whatever else wasn’t Brady’s expertise.
I’m sure he gave Brady full drives from time to time, but this was a valuable learning experience for Ensminger too. This offense is here to stay. We just have to hope we have the coaching to be able to teach it up the way it needs to be executed.
No doubt that Brady was instrumental in the evolution of our passing game and will be missed, especially the WR’s development, but make no mistake about it, Burrow was the difference. We will never see QB play at this level ever again at LSU imo, he was that good, and made an impact that is almost unfathomable

This explains why we were so much more efficient once we got into scoring position this season. Last year we would get close to the goal line and get very conservative, often stalling out and having to kick field goals. Another reason why I'm nervous about Brady leaving.

Joe Brady's offense had:
The best college QB ever
The biletnikoff
2 other WRs who round out the best three WR triplet in the country
A TE who is the son of the greatest WR of all time
1 of the nation's best RBs, and then the #s 1, 6 and 11 in their recruiting class as backups
The best o-line in the country
The classic "is it the chicken or the egg" situation, but when you're being asked to the NFL as an OC when you were just the passing game coordinator, you have to leave.
Good luck Joe Brady. Thank you for your help in the first and only perfect college football season ever.

What I really want to know is who called the 3rd down Burrow TD run and who called the 3rd and 10 Burrow run with 21 seconds left in the H.
That guy is who I want calling our plays
That guy is who I want calling our plays

This is just a guess , but I think when teams defense found ways to slow LSU down , it was Brady who called the plays to over come what the d was doing . LSU had same players and E was calling plays against bama last year put up 0 , this year 46 for example

Yeah we know. And kicked the ever loving shite out of Bama while they were doing it. An embarrassment to the SEC. They used that beat down to crow about the SEC ain’t all that.
Well this LSU team rectified that crap. We had to explain to Clemson that they wouldn’t be beating this SEC champion like a rented government mule this year. Put some respect on the names LSU and SEC. We ain’t Bama. There will be no Clemson bragging after this game. And hold up on that dynasty crap too.

More than happy to throw my hat in for the Brady position

i think the long run was Joe recognizing the defense.

Know how much Steve loves LSU , the QB in him, you have to know he wanted to learn this offense as much as anyone else. I will trust him for the future. He has a few more years in him!

This board loves to try to discredit Ensminger and Munoz trying to give all the credit to Brady. He was great no doubt but without Burrow's maturity, Munoz's reading defenses, and Ensminger's expertise in PCing, it never would've worked. It was a perfect storm of excellent chemistry between everyone. Make no mistake about it Brady was instrumental in helping build this offense too but the blueprint was everyone not just him. If Brady was such a god for our offense then why did LSU's offense show signs of exploding the back end of last year? Did everyone just forgot the gaudy stats Burrow was putting up at the end of last season? The light came on at the right time and Brady came in at the perfect time. No shame in striking while your name is hot and getting the credit. I remember some media actually taking notice of Burrow's maturity at the end of last season putting him as a darkhorse heisman candidate and they were absolutely correct.

I called it. Not literally, but I told some people around me that's what we should do.

With no timeouts. It was a successful play call that took balls of steel to make.

Yes but all those players were there last year too so tell me what the difference was this year? Joe Brady.

Wrong. LSU's offense exploded at the end of last season. Players grow and mature to get better.
