The Saia family heirs of the trucking company probably have that much but I don’t know how many are splitting it

I could think of about five to ten families in New Orleans like Saia that collectively are well into that area but it is split out enough where no one is worth that much.

Right after Benson on the list though is probably Avi Glazer.

Matt Stuller has to be on the list.

eta: Also the Mcilney family has to be there too. No idea how that's split up though.

You think it would make sense for more than 77 people in Louisiana to be worth over $100 million?? What kind of state do you think Louisiana is? $100 million is a helluva lot of money, i’m kinda surprised that that many people in this relatively small, poor state have that type of cheddar.

There is no possible way to even come close to an accurate number.

77 is such a random number.

They must be basing that number off of public info and public investor and stock info.

There’s so much more private money in this state than you’d ever realize.

One factor is the amount of private property owned by the wealthy in this state that will never ever be sold. The one problem holding this state back as far as economic growth is mineral rights. If La would let original owners have life time mineral rights like Mississippi, we would see much more infrastructure and growth.

Just the prime real estate Swaggart’s house sits on at the corner of Perkins and Highland is worth more that 5 million. He got 3 or 4 million for the property that is no w the Renaissance Hotel. His other property’s on Bluebonnet are also sitting on prime commercial locations, while not 100 million just his real estate holdings are probably in the 20 million range.

That’s what I’m saying. No one sells large tracts of real estate in Louisiana. No one wants to lose their mineral rights. If we had it set up like Mississippi and the rest of the county people would sell for economic development and still be able to hold on to mineral rights for lifetime. One of the reasons Louisiana is so stagnant.

Forgot about him, he’s definitely on the list.

Whoever said Lil Wayne- I think he “lives” in Miami.

Guy that owns LLOG has to be on the list too.
