80% of the bets were on LSU covering against the spread I think yesterday, and now it is down to about 72%.

No real conclusion, just pointing it out. We are still going to win this one.

Public money has been coming in on LSU.

Big sharp money has been coming in on Clemson.

They better have some ruthless zebras on that field.

One call is all it takes in a close game.

The numbers are simply evening out the closer we get to kick.

Not a whole lot of people who lay down bets 2 weeks before kick. The people who did wanted to get LSU at the lowest number possible, thus the large amount of early bets on LSU

The Clemson bettors are gonna hope LSU keeps getting pounded with bets so it inflates the line and they can get a better number, preferably 7 or higher, so they will wait longer to place down a bet

You have to take all those stats with a grain of salt. Who knows how accurate that shite is depending on where you get it. Just watch line movement and that’s it

Is anybody shocked by this? They want it as close to 50/50 as they can get.

Sharp money coming in on Clemson plus 6. I’ll take a 38-32 victory.

Vegas’s goal is not to get the betting on both sides to 50/50. They would be a lot less rich if they relied solely on the Juice to make profit. Sometimes they go that route, but it is not their main objective. If it was you would see a lot more line movement on every game to entice one side

They are more than willing to have a big ticket on a public team, there’s a reason they call it dumb money.

This and the media has been pumping the Clemson name and to win for a while now to even out the money for Vegas. It usually works in these big games.

It’s pretty simple if you ask me. LSU is a extremely talented and good all around football team while being historic offensively. LSU hasn’t won in a long time and will be starving. LSU has a veteran team across the board who aren’t coming back. They will not give in if it’s a fight to the end.

Clemson is very good but has some holes to exploit. They have won recently and aren’t as veteran as LSU is so they can come back to win again. They won’t be so driven to win at all cost. They will give in at a certain point imo.

LSU will NOT. Add all this up and you get an LSU win and cover because they have the offense to do that and a defense to give them too many fits. In close games this year the LSU defense has played its most crisp and its best. Only in the blow outs have they given in at times. This may also come to an end simply because it’s New Orleans, they fresh and it’s the championship game. Clemson might see a very tough LSU D. The MOST COMPLETE TEAM!

If this happens the books will get CRUSHED, especially the MS books (90%+ money on LSU).

LSU is easily 3 to 5 scores better than Clemson. It will take a blatant display by the zebras to flip this game to Clemson.

I have no doubt that you know what you are talking about, but you really didn't explain it. You simply said they aren't looking for 50/50 just in more words.

Not trying to be an arse in my reply.

Vig always ensures the house makes money on a bet. If y 'all don't know that the money line is omitted in this convo; on the money line, LSU has a -239 line while the underdog Clemson comes in at +190 Holy Tiger scat!! A +190 is the kind of bet wise guys look for. Clemson ain't going down easy like the odds makers show they are.
