Because Dumbledore was gay the whole time, that's why!
(It truly doesn't bother me that she confirmed that to a fan that asked. There were enough context clues given to get there. Thought it was a funny enough retort.)
But yes, that is a very convoluted plot. Probably has something to do with spell preparations or some such shite.

No, she declared it to fly her woke flag, and people went back and interpreted anything vaguely gay as "clues."
