Like most here, I have been an LSU for several years. I am not affiliated with the program in any way. I hate to say it but Miles drew me in, always the underdog.
Trying to lighten the week before "The Game".
When did you know this season was different?
I was nervous the entire way...when did you feel it?
C'mon guys, be nice.

For me — the swagger and poise we played with at Texas. The 3rd and 17.

I looked at every team on our schedule and knew there was only 1 team that could score enough to stay with us—- Bama.

I felt that road game was the perfect recipe and confidence builder for our trip to Tuscaloosa.

We had our schedule set up perfectly so guys had time to recover from early season injuries.

But, the play of the season (IMO) was the TD pass to CEH right before half at Bama. It put us up 33-13.

This was the "oh shite" moment for me. But, when Queen made the Int to set up Joe to Clyde quick score before halftime at Bama was The moment I knew. We did what Bama usually does to us.

We were in Austin and I turned to my buddy and said, "we got us a quarterback".

I thought we were badass after Bama for sure. When I knew we were next level...like this isn’t even normal...

SEC Championship...Burrow catches his own pass for a 16 yard gain..

I knew we were good after Texas. I knew we were really good after Florida. I knew we were going to the ship after Bama.

When CEH did the Horns down after scoring a touchdown and then they showed Burrow Sr. doing it in the stands.

You could see improvement in the Fiesta Bowl last year, and when they hired Brady I knew we would continue to improve. I actually ran into CEH at the end of July and we talked for z few minutes about last year and about the coming year. As soon as I started talking about Brady, he got really excited and said we were going to see big things this year. When I saw them play Texas and convert on that 3rd & 17, I knew it wasn’t hype. We were for real.

Pretty much nails it. Was optimistic all along and amazed at the abilities of our QB and receivers but until you knock Bama off that hill there is always the doubt even if only minimal.

Special year to be a Tiger fan. Even in the 90's when we were a dumpster fire you just felt the ingredients for a powerhouse program were there, but I will say I never thought we would go to 4 NCG's in my lifetime.

The answer for me was when we marched down the field against Bama opening drive to not only end the drought but to completely escalate our team's poise the rest of the game. That was when every in our section had that side eyed "are you seeing this" surprised meme look on their face (and no one said anything to possibly jinx it haha)

Bama

Was a program trajectory changing win

The effect of that win spans much greater than one season

The first touchdown pass of the season. From the endzone perspective, you never see the ball. I still haven’t figured out how it happened. It’s as if he made the ball teleport through the defenders hand. In reality it had to be centimeters from it timed perfectly.
