Dear Friend,
There is but one place I buy my fresh oysters: P & J Oysters on Toulouse. They are only open in the mornings and I think they only sell half sacks now. They tried selling them shucked, but I'm not sure they sell them shucked or not anymore.
I try to get there before 7 to beat the traffic and to get the best choice. I hope you find them to be as wonderful as I do.

I’m nearly certain I bought some shucked from Langensteins uptown right before Xmas. They were good.
