Overuse of wrist flexors
Under use of wrist extensors most likely

Have you been checked for nerve issues? It could be carpal tunnel or neck injury.
As dumb as this sounds, it is very possible. I was having a problem with my left wrist for months and it turned out to be a nerve problem I've traced to my neck. Still working through it now, but I may have thoracic outlet which is a bitch

I had an EMG test done a while ago and they ruled out carpel tunnel. Would this also rule out any neck problems or does separate testing have to be done?

I’m having numbness in my thumb that won’t go away that I believe is from squatting putting extreme pressure on wrist. Has anyone had numbness in thumb consistently and what was the cause?

Started lifting 2 years ago, got a nasty case of De Quervain’s several months after....cortisone shot knocked it out, still some tightness though

I had wrist problems in my teens and early 20’s. I was skinny and lanky. It eventually went away in its own. I think I was lifting too heavy, to quickly or maybe my body just got used to it finally. Not sure.

If anyone was curious, after a solid 18 months of going through life with sore hands and wrists all the time, I’ve traced this back to nerve issues in my neck. Thought y’all were crazy but here we are. Been doing physical therapy and it’s not back to 100% yet, but just pinpointing the problem is a mental relief in itself.
Been lifting light weights to re-introduce the motions to my body and muscles with correct form this time, and hope to come back stronger than before!

Nice update. Nerve damage is always tricky because you can feel pain in places that you logically think have absolutely no relation to where the damage actually is.

I strengthen my wrists with different holds and movements

I like using fat gripz for various holds and movements . They work and work fast

They are good. I do pushups on my wrists, both pronated and supinated, holds on one wrist. Stuff like that
ETA: I’ll see if I can post a pic
