Keeping Wade in my thoughts.

great info and I'll try to do it for that poor man. God bless him with healing and a supernatural ability to handle the pain he is going through. I can't imagine what he is enduring.

For those that have given blood before, how much do they usually take? Feel weird or anything after they finish?
Posted on 1/4/20 at 11:48 pm to 225Tyga
The only time I've ever felt weird was after giving double red, but I didn't feel bad, just a little weird for 15-30 minutes.

I'm in Orlando, can I donate here and have him get credit for doing so? I donate regularly, just don't know the rules on assigning a donation especially out of state.

Idk how much they take, it’s not enough to harm you
You shouldn’t feel weird
Eat before you go
They will usually give you a snack & a juice if you need it
I wouldn’t smoke for an hour or 2 after
(Cigarettes, would feel light headed if I smoked too soon after)

As an incentive, we offer a $15 credit per unit of blood donated toward a patient's outstanding bill at Our Lady of the Lake. No other organization offers this benefit. We also replace blood credits used in any hospital in the U.S, within the National Blood Exchange.
National Blood Exchange
Not sure if he will get the credit but it doesn’t hurt to try

They take a pint... just don’t do any heavy exercise for a few weeks. And you will tire easily.... did it one time and ran around the lakes in BR, thought I might die

this is the wrong thread for this but I have a friend that would donate once a month in med school. as soon as he left he would smoke 2 cigs and drink a beer. that would be his monthly "partying" day. he said it was a cheap and easy buzz
back on topic, I encourage everyone to donate blood regularly not only for this gentleman but also for the countless others that need it in time of crisis. I lost a friend because they didnt have enough blood on hand when she needed it. she died during delivery of her daughter.

What kind of sorry human being would downvote a request such as this. I am sure that if he needed help he wouldn’t hesitate to ask in as many ways possible
I am also sure that the first downvote to my post will be from him.
I understand if you don’t want to donate. Some people just can’t. But why put a negative spin on this?

And that's worst case.

Am not allowed to give blood but saying a prayer for him. God Bless this man.

Your body, on average, has 16 pints of blood. They take one, which doesn't affect you. They also test first to see if your blood counts are high enough for you to donate. Any blood type is welcome. It's just you replacing any blood he has used. He doesn't actually get "your" blood. Thank you in advance.
