Umm. A dictatorial regime just orchestrated a terrorist attack on sovereign US soil in an attempt to kill Americans. And all we did was waste some of the assholes who oversaw it.
This terrorist regime also would have a little bit of trouble explaining why this particular individual was there.
What exactly should have been the response? Walk out of the embassy with their hands in their heads and surrender? Send billions on a pallet to beg for forgiveness?

This is not far off.
Like I said, just pointing out some hypocrisy.
That's independent of the position I already stated, which this dude seems to be inclined to ignore.

Your posts make 1000% more sense once you realize your actual opinion and your posts are rarely mutually exclusive.

So could attacking an American embassy, you coward
Absolutely amazing how that was skipped right over to just randomly attacking a foreign country’s military officer isn’t it?
Attacking an embassy is the same as attacking the US. It’s sovereign US soil.

I don't know why people pretend that it's a secret. It's implicit in most of my posts and I've explicitly stated it numerous times.

This thread you straight up said your opinion, so I dont know why either ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Pretty sure he’s handicapped or something so this is his big outlet. Shame.

Why don't you tell us??
How is it the EU, the Canadians and the Australians manage to stay out of ME wars but we somehow feel we must be there?

attacking and attempting to overrun an American Embassy, which is internationally recognized as sovereign American soil, is in fact an act of war.
This is true.
I wonder why our embassies are the ones that seem to always be the targets?

No one is 'cheering on a war'.
What would an effective "more measured" response for sacking a US embassy be? Or should we be cheering for the first of many more Benghazis?
It's estimated this POS was responsible for 17% of all US hostile deaths in Iraq, since 2003. F**k him.

Nobody wants to talk about the underlying reasons for any of this.
It's all chest thumping about using remote controlled airplanes to shoot rockets at whoever the deep state designates a "terrorist."
Oh but this guy is the "head of the snake"? Riggght.
And before the more intelligent of you reading this respond with something obvious that's already been said numerous times today, remember that we are just free citizens on a message board. What we say here will not effect POTUSs decision making in the short term. He isn't asking for any of our blessings for his choices, and without seeing the information he has, it's hard for us to judge the action anyway.
But the discussion is worthwhile on the chance that these sorts of discussions, writ large, will create a populace that is less prone to be misled into needless wars.
And it is a bit jarring to see this board so strongly support this action, when it's against a bonafide Iranian official vs actions that were taken by proxies of Iran. Hope y'all are right that this isn't a step towards war.

He was a general of a terrorist force paid for by Iran. Why was he in Iraq?

Who’s to say???
The government lies (about things I believe to be true and sometimes tells the truth about other things when I find myself agreeing with them)!!!!!!!
