3 for Caleb Williams. 1 new to LSU, 2 flipped from UGA to LSU.

I'm willing to bet the staff is but as a fan, I agree....way too many moving pieces at this point.

If this kid goes to UGA over LSU based on offensive scheme alone, some seriously shady stuff is going on behind the scenes. No QB in their right mind would sign up for that system. LSU fans should know better than anyone.

Fun times landing a 5* QB....I get it.
But man, I have this feeling that passing over Nuss for Williams isn’t the right move.
I’m not at all saying Williams is a bad choice by any means, I just think Nuss is the better choice.
I’m no scout, so what do I know? This is just personal opinion. I’m sure the star gazers are going to downvote the frick out of me.

We better not slow play Nussmeier, that kid is going to be really good, and he has all the potential to become a deadly accurate passer.
We need to keep recruiting him hard, because as we have clearly seen on display for all this year to see, a number of these kids words, is just that, nothing more. The don't give a verbal commitment, they just talk about how much they love LSU, but do nothing about it, other than talk.
If Williams starts playing serious games between us and UGA, then we tell him, either at least give us a verbal commitment, or we move on to Nuss and don't put as much time into recruiting Williams. Otherwise we are setting ourselves up to get burned again. Our offense is so damn good, if you don't want to get on board, you can get run over by it instead. That's really what it comes down to.

Yea recruit both and first come first serve. Either guy would help to elevate the program. I also think we stole one of the best QBs in this years class, in Max Johnson. I don’t care about his ranking. The guy grew up around football, has a dad that’s won a championship at the highest level of football, has toughness in his blood, took a no named team to a state title, can move around in the pocket, isn’t afraid to get hit, has a good arm and is very accurate with the football.
Put this guy with our coaches, our system, our OLman, our TEs, WRs and with our run game to complement his talents, you have yourself a damn fierce offense. Obviously the guy can lead because he lead this no name team to an undefeated season.
We also landed a QB with unbelievable potential, if he progresses like the staff believes he will, then we have two super talented QBs and a bright future at the position. Adding one of William’s or Nuss would only help the situation. The more elite competition we have at this position, the better they will be as players, as well as the program.
The change that has occurred at this position alone is simply amazing to me. If we can land an elite QB early, the rest will follow. I’m waiting for the day that LSU starts landing those big 6’6 / 6’7 285/310 HS OT’s. The big OG’s and OC’s will follow. What RB/TE/WR wouldn’t want to be a part of that class at LSU? If we can add Frank Wilson back to our staff, it sure would help. Then Ed O and Frank could start working hard on the elite talent along the front seven and let the DB coaches do their DBU thing. It could happen sooner than later!!!

I tend to agree but I’m not a football scout either.
I upvoted you bc it is the right and courageous thing to do.
This might be a crazy question, but why couldn’t we sign both since one is rated a good bit lower than the other? It’s not like they’re both 5 star guys who would automatically have the the mentality of having to be “the guy”. Is it completely unreasonable to think we could sign 2 good quarterbacks in the same class? Just reminiscing about Flynn and Russell.
Can any of the insiders help answer this? Please go easy on me, it’s a serious question and a new year. Let’s be kind to one another

Nuss has very good tape from his junior season. Hits on a lot of passes with good to plus coverage.

What ties us to Nuss? I’ve heard people say he’s pretty much 100% LSU, but I don’t know why.
Just wondering if family is LSU or something
