Only thing I can think of is they feel Jones can be their guy going forward, and since Gettleman was his biggest pumper this season, maybe they didn't want to completely gut his support before season 2.

I would put Rhule as the front runner, but don't count out Jason Garrett. Oddly enough he really might be a top get for them.
