Damn I hate that I wanted to see Freddie do well. I was shocked when he became a NFL HC though so I’m not surprised. I hope he lands another assistant job.

Just got off the phone with an emotional Freddie Kitchens. He believed he had organizational support. He did not.

He was an awful hire to begin with.

The Browns are weak at the critical ownership position. And until that changes, the Browns will not win. They are the 21st century version of the ‘60s-mid-80s Saints.

regardless, they accumulated that much talent to be relevant, at least hire someone that had HC experience.

Not that I'm disagreeing, by why is this the case? Can't say I am familiar with Kitchens' background before this.

Meanwhile the true lineal Browns might play in and win their third Super Bowl since they moved. I feel really bad for Browns fans

I’ve said it forever, when the Browns moved, we didn’t just lose the team or the colors, we lost our culture of winning. We lost our front office and leadership. The new Browns have been missing leadership since they came back. It’s so sad to witness as a Browns fan.

Browns have now had as many head coaches in the past 20 years as they had in their first 53 years of existence ugh.

Yep...I've only been living in Cleveland since 2000, but I agree with all this. It really sucks to see the "real" Browns doing so well over the years while this pitiful expansion franchise tries to find its way. Even before I moved here I thought what Modell did was disgusting; he really ripped the heart out of the city's sports fans. However, I think the new Browns have a lot of good pieces in place now. O-line and depth on defense are the most glaring weaknesses now, but things are set up for a good solid coach to have some success.

Who was the Browns fan that tried to convince me the Browns had a good shot of making the playoffs three weeks ago?

Can confirm @AdamSchefter report that the #Browns have requested permission to interview #Patriots OC Josh McDaniels. He's believed to be their first choice, sources tell me
