Didn’t see any threads on this board or MSB.

Seems like an interesting scenario... They aren’t very good. Haven’t been recruiting at an elite level like they should. Is the guy just gonna live on the hot seat forever?

He'll be fired by mid-season of next season.

USC doesn’t care about football anymore, which is weird considering the kind of program they used to be.

He’s got a 20 million dollar buyout and USC doesn’t care about football anymore

He can thank Lori Loughlin as the admin is focused on the scandals right now.

Bama is going to destroy them right out the gate.

The administration has already announced he’s coming back for 2020.

He won’t make it out of September, if they start 1-3 or worse.

They open with Bama, close with Notre Dame. In between they have 9 Pac 12 games and New Mexico. They have a young QB and some talent around him on offense. I wouldn't be surprised if they win their division, wouldn't be surprised if he is fired before the Notre Dame game.

USC is going to close with ND instead of UCLA on “rivalry weekend” next season? It seems to me the money people in Los Angles just don’t care about being relevant in ncaa football anymore. I wouldn’t even put their average fans in the top twenty of rabid fan bases that demand success.

I don't think that's it at all. The scandals at USC have emboldened the academic leadership. So, the sports boosters will take a back seat for the time being until Helton is fired and once Helton is fired I bet that soon some of these administrators that made it possible for Helton to come back will be fired as well.

Nah, the moneys there. The Admin really don’t care about football. I hope when we hit rock bottom the head coach and the President and AD will all be fired. Need to burn it all down and rebuild it.

Are you saying ND isn’t USC’s rival? They’ve been playing every year since 1926. USC started playing UCLA in 1929. They are a bigger rival for USC than UCLA is. The years that they play in South Bend they play in the middle of October. The years they play in LA they play the last game of the year. They’ve done this for almost 100 years. You been living under a rock?

No I’m very aware that USC vid ND is a huge historical rivalry I’m just used to seeing USC vs UCLA to close the season.

Have you seen their recruiting class? Their recruiting will continue to be terrible as long as they hang on to Helton. They should have fired him already.

They didn’t even end the season against each other this year. USC did finish the season against UCLA, but on November 23. UCLA actually finished against Cal on November 30 during “rivalry week”. USC always closes against ND during rivalry week when they play in LA. Always.
