What is Israel’s nuclear capacity?

Is there a consensus on this?
I wouldn’t bet against them having some 80’s or 90’s era US nukes but do we think they can develop weapons grade nuclear materials on their own?

Yes. Everyone knows they have the bomb.
At the very least...they are in Japan’s situation, where they have the components and tech and could easily have a serviceable weapon in months.

Doesn’t matter. They have the tech already, and we gave it to them.

Debatable if we gave it to them. More likely they stole it. It’s easier to mooch off a “friend” than a stranger. Ally implies equivalent mutual beneficiaries. In that context they are not our allies.

If they were in a position to steal it, we as good as gave it to them.
Our relationship with Israel is that of a host with its parasite. We gave it to them, just like we gave them every piece of military technology they own at some level.
Do you think they just popped up in Palestine in 1948 with tanks and jet fighters? They take our tech and tweak it to fit their needs. And we say “thank you, sir, please come again” because it’s frankly advantageous to have the Israelis test our shite.
All of this so that Mossad will toss us a crumb or two when it suits them.

They should tell you???

Wasn't it Israel who worked together with France and South Africa to develop the bomb?

They should tell you???
What?? Of course not.
Do you know the difference btw criticizing Israel for not telling the public about their military capabilities and having intellectual discussions about their military capabilities?

Look at their delivery systems, that will tell you what style bombs they have...that stuff is unclassified, you can get it on a YouTube infographic video.

Jews were the reason the US and Russia have the bomb. Both sides were grabbing Jewish scientists before during and after WWll.
God’s chosen people are smart.

Nothing about our entanglement with Israel is advantageous. It’s specifically trillions of dollars of disadvantageous.

I have no doubt that not only are they capable of developing them, but that they have them... and that they have a lot more than 80s era tech.
It’s in the top 25 on the list of richest countries on earth, and they aren’t dumb. Heck, we’re 100+ trillion in debt and they (and a long list of other countries) are still suckering us into giving them money.

Depends on if the govt needs a distraction. If they do you will in unison get media reports about how close they are to nuclear weapons and ZOMG SOMETHING MUST BE DONE!!!!

If by this you mean “their co-ethnics in America both massively donate to both parties AND hold vast over representation in government” then yes.

The number of dual citizens is pretty staggering

Call one of the many elected officials in DC with dual citizenship and ask us to take care of the threat for them

You are like the black people who blame whites for everything.

No consensus... Israel maintains ambiguity on the subject...
The State of Israel is widely believed to possess nuclear weapons. Estimates of Israel's stockpile range between 80 and 400 nuclear warheads,[6][7][8][19][2][10] and the country is believed to possess the ability to deliver them in several methods, including by aircraft; as submarine-launched cruise missiles; and the Jericho series of intermediate to intercontinental range ballistic missiles.[20][21] Its first deliverable nuclear weapon is thought to have been completed in late 1966 or early 1967; which would make it the sixth country in the world to have developed them.[22][2][23]
Now, does it matter if it is 80 or 400?
