I am guessing the people who are happiest with the BS in this thread are the LSU coaching staff.
Obviously the injury to CEH puts LSU at a disadvantage if he can’t play or can’t play 100%. But, once injured I am fully fine with the gamesmanship.
The first question to O in his presser today will be the status of CEH. I would be shocked if he said anything other than “he’s a game time decision.” Make no mistake The fact that CEH was featured yesterday in the teams Instagram video and posted to his own account wasn’t an accident.
If Clyde can’t go it doesn’t hurt to have OU thinking he is a “maybe” that just means they have more to prepare for. Would not shock me at all if multiple sources “inside” the program are “leaking” conflicting information simply for the sake of gamesmanship.
It’s exactly what Smart did regarding Swift heading into the SEC championship game. Early LSU had to be ready for him to be 100%. The first play call room advantage of that assumption. If they hit 1-2 of those big PA passes early it could have changed the tenor of the game. We will know early next Saturday if he can go or not but the ambiguity could buy LSU a couple of plays if he isn’t 100%.

Nothings being leaked. Coach O will likely never give the particulars of the injury anyway

Again, I’m referring to a conversation I had on Friday which I posted a screen shot of last night and a follow up Saturday.
The “next day” being Saturday.
Stop being a dope

He is calling you/your buddy a fool because assuming its torn simply because of swelling is asinine

It’s obvious Lester doesn’t know shite. I just want him to admit it. He doesn’t even understand the grades of hamstring injuries.
Grade 1 - muscle strain aka pulled hamstring
Grade 2 - partial muscle tear
Grade 3 - complete muscle tear or tendon tear requiring surgery
Him saying it’s “torn” is irrelevant. We all know he injured his hamstring. Without knowing the grade it’s impossible to give a prognosis. Grade 1-2 can be back in 12 days LINK
So when Lester says “I heard grade 2-3” it’s pure speculation. He’s saying Clyde could be out 12 days or could need surgery.
Lester knows about as much as everyone else here... nothing

Nailed it. There’s no value passing along what your “sauce” said if it’s that ignorant. From top to bottom LE’s story hasn’t made much sense if you know anything about how they grade out and evaluate muscle injuries. Saying “I believe my sauce” when the sauce’s text a) can’t spell CEH’s name correctly and b) says grade 2/3 just makes you look ignorant. If this is the hill you want to die on, great, but it’s just bizarre to me. CEH has a hamstring issue is about all we know.

It’s not my buddy’s assumption. He didn’t sit down and discuss avulsions. Not sure what people expect
Take it or don’t believe it. That’s all I can say

Hamstrings, even minor are a bitch to deal with. He ain't playing.

Study in college athletes. Grade 1-2 injuries are out an average of 11.9 days. Range 5-23 days.
Not saying he’s playing. Just saying without more information we don’t know.
Grade 3 is most likely surgical. It’s hard to know without MRI but I doubt he’s walking around and traveling if they are concerned about a grade 3 tear.
All of this is 100% speculation

bullshite
He’s had an MRI
Swelling does not impair an MRI. An MRI works by using such a strong magnetic field it actually causes your hydrogen atoms in your water molecules to polarize. That’s why MRI is the diagnostic tool for soft tissue injuries.
I’ve said multiple times I have straight from the source info on his status and injury
His hamstring area on MRI is actually fine, it’s actually in his quad but it hurts on the back of his leg. His MRI doesn’t show anything distinct it’s just a weird minor tweak that is bothering him more so then it should.
Billion% facts

Even a mild hamstring strain will keep him out or severely limit him.
I feel bad for him but it’s best to just rest him in hopes of having him back for the natchamp

Yeah if he actually tore it there is no way he would be walking without a limp
I think he probably plays but if he can further injure I keep him out

In Lester's defense, I've never known him to claim sources. That's not his M.O.

Idk about the hammy, but his Single Mom Luggage set is on point.

I didn't read this entire thread to know if it was covered, but Skip Bertman said he thought Clyde was going to play. He said Marucci was the best hamstring guy in the business, and had plenty of time to get that leg right.
Nobody knows the extent of the injury, as far as I know. I'm betting this was all gamesmanship on our part.
