CEO sees big picture

Rakim going to Maryland is fine.he won't hurt LSU in any way.
CEO has a multi-year perspective.
With the transfer portal, and big time Louisiana WR's on the roster (starters returning, Lee, Palmer),in this class, and next year's loaded LA class...
Coach O has a great big picture plan.
Good luck as a Terp. So glad you didn't go to Saban or Mullen!

This doesn’t hurt LSU at all in the grand scheme of things. Maybe it’ll open up a spot for a position of need

You think his big picture was having Jarrett committed to us for a long time then flip on signing day?
Posted on 12/18/19 at 10:48 am to TigerBert
While I somewhat I agree, I think the big picture would suggest its not wise to process kids that have been committed for longer than a few weeks for guys that "may" come or are "secret commits".
Pisses off the high schools, gives rivals an easy negative recruiting talking point, and is just a shitty thing to do.
Just my opinion though.

We want Burch, period. He’s a must get.

I honestly don't mind losing a WR
Wish it wasn't Rakim, but shite, any WR can thrive in our offense if we keep it up.
Opens a spot up for a plethora of other positions.

Getting Dumervil was bigger than losing Jarrett.

I think he means he knows CEO will find a way to make it work. Even if he has to chase transfers this summer.

i mean it's a loss, he's a great prospect, but ultimately they'll find someone else that can make an impact. in-state receivers are generally one of the strongest parts of LSU's recruiting class yearly..and there are a few studs in the next class right down the road.
rakim would have been a nightmare here though. so it still definitely sucks.

There is no positive spin on losing a 5* recruit on National Signing Day. NONE.

People love to overreact. Yes Rakim is a great player and can turn out to be a stud. Losing him really doesn’t hurt LSU as some people will make it seem.

We wanted RJ. I do think you are right in that it wont hurt is with all the other guys we have.

This is all part of the plan my friend.

We got played all there is to say lol

Losing Rak alone isn't a huge deal.
Losing Rak and Burton, though, would hurt.

Lol yep it was Orgeron’s “plan” for a 5 * kid to flip to Maryland.
Good call.
Good call.

This guy always knew he was going to MD if he still decommits after the season we had. He just wanted to enjoy the experience. BS just stay uncommitted.

We will have Chris Hilton and others next year anyways

Rakim wasn’t even a silent commit... lmao
