Can the NCAA suspend players playing for schools in Colorado, California, Mass., Michigan, Nevada, Oregon and Washington too?
I mean smoking cigs is illegal under the age of 21 in California but if the players from Cal buy a pack while playing Florida in Florida is that an NCAA violation?

Yes, it happened when Oregon was in the playoffs against FSU.

Yes. Can a boss in those states fire an employee for failing a test? Private orgs can set whatever rules they want and these players voluntarily enter that contract. I smoke every day pretty much and I don't agree with suspending players for weed but its still up to them to make sure they don't get suspended from the playoffs for a fricking couple hour high.
