Not a single soul in Tiger Stadium could have possibly predicted that Ed Orgeron’s name would ever be mentioned in the same sentence as “Coach of the Year.”

It has to be the most remarkable failure to success story in coaching history.

Not true at all. He's had some very vocal supporters here since day 1.

I wasn’t a supporter initially. But there were many people who thought he was the best thing to happen to us the second the hire happened. Good for those people. But your statement is completely wrong.

Considering the on the field and off the field debacles in past years to what’s happened in the past couple years...it really should be made into a movie.

I thought we’d be looking for a new coach after 3 years.

But read the context of his text............. We are not just talking about vocal supporters.

I said the exact same thing about Coach O being hired as I said when Obama was first elected president. He was chosen, so he deserves a chance. So glad Orgeron is working out much better as LSU’s coach than Obama did as president......

I remember sitting in a deer stand combing this board as news unfolded that Ed Orgeron was going to be our permanent coach. I was mega-disappointed. And I have since learned that I know very little about what’s best for the program, and am just happy to be a fan.

It’s been a very memorable year and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. All I really wanted was for LSU football to be a competitive team that’s fun to watch. This season has been RIDICULOUS.

Tip of the hat to Ed O. So happy for him.

He had fans from day one but anyone who says they thought he’d ever have THIS kind of year is full of shite. Possible national championship WITH a Heisman QB? Yeah, nobody saw that coming.

Not really. Based off of what I saw him do at USC, I thought there was a chance he could build the program back up. Being coach of the year at some point was not out of the question to me.
