Hurts and Fields/Young will be playing for Vengeance

All 3 will have to sit and watch Saturday as the Heisman Trophy presentation essentially becomes Joe Burrow's coronation ceremony. I don't think Young will care as much being a defensive player but those other two will be coming into the playoff trying to prove a point. Similar to Vince Young in 2005. Obviously the team will be ready and Joe will be playing for his own vengeance of sorts if the NC game opponent ends up being OSU. But I hope they come into this still having a fire and chip on the shoulder mentality.

Fields might be playing for vengeance, but when the first play happens K'Lavon Chaisson and Marcel Brooks will be playing for LSU..... he will forget about vengeance quickly.

I have a pretty good feeling that Joe remembers every person on that defense and each of their tendencies. I'm willing to bet that he will figure out a way to exploit every one of them too.
On the other hand those guys never really saw Burrow in true game situations, so they probably will have a tougher time figuring him out.

Do you not think Vince Young was more motivated for the BCS title against USC/Leinart? Dont you think LBJ was more motivated when they played the Warriors in the 2016 Finals and Steph had just won unanimous MVP and everyone was saying he was now the best in the league? Players want to win rings yes but they also want to be recognized at the best in their craft. You cant tell me it wont burn them a bit to see Burrow take the Trophy Saturday (which I reiterate he unquestionably deserves to do.)
