Sleep Deprivation/Insomnia

Always had issues but it’s getting worse. Done some reading about stuff to do but what worked for you.

Also of note, I have backended insomnia too (I wake up only after 3-5 hours) so any ideas for that would be great.

Have you tried a sleep hygiene routine?

Also, if you haven't been evaluated for things like sleep apnea, I would do that. Rule out medical causes and get a solid sleep routine together is a good starting point.

Spend final hour before bed with no intense overstimulation of senses; like no incessant looking at crap on iPhone, tv shows or video games. Herbal sleepy time tea, reading only a book for last hour and finally drift off with a good 1 hour sleep meditation playing on YouTube on low volume. Remove all electronics from bedroom. I don’t even have a clock radio. You have to try to commit to a decent bedtime ritual every night and be consistent for a few weeks to see any changes. Good luck.
