And he said you have to give LSU coaching staff a lot of credit.

LSU helped him with the scheme, but I read where Joe stated:

" I would not be the Player or Person I am today if it wasn't for coach Day.

They talk up the good teams. Looking through colored lenses, you overestimate our team most years. It's not them; it's you. Where is the bias? Every poll and institution has LSU #1 in spite of OSU, a blueblood, and Clemson, the most dominant team recently, being undefeated. Also Joe is winning the Heisman. All of this, and your inferiority complex is still darkening your mind.

Hot take, it was over several games ago... wish I could get paid to state the obvious
Still interesting considering his Ohio State ties... recruited and developed Burrow

Urban didn’t want Joe out of high school... he had to be talked into taking him. Then he didn’t want him as the starter after Joe was there for 3 years. I’d say his opinion on Burrow was wrong then and irrelevant now.

When do players actually 'develop"... I know that Joe was an exceptional athlete in HS in both football and basketball especially...but, who really knows, talent and mindset were always there and a few pointers from OC and QB coach Day certainly doesn't hurt.. Look what he did for Haskins, and look what he is doing for Fields today.. From what I have read that is why fields went to OSU in the 1st place, so he could be developed by Day.

That is not true.... He committed way before his last year in HS ended... Actually, and for the 100th time, Joe broke his hand on someones helmet and lost his backup job to Haskins. They were in a neck to neck race during spring ball where Haskins was ever so slightly ahead....He could have still gone into fall practice and won the job, but decided to transfer rather than take that chance.... turned out to be a good choice especially going to a program like LSU which hasn't really had a decent QB for the longest time.... Las year Joe was an average to maybe, a little above average, mainly because of lack of scheme, but this year it was rectified by Brady and that has been the difference. It wasn't coaching, or fundamentals, he already had that along with his god given talent. It was having the weapons and schemes at his disposal that made the difference.

Got a link to that? Day was only at Ohio St for about a year while Joe was there. And Day was all-in on Haskins.

I am not a big Urban fan, but, the man does have a cyst on his brain so I would never mock or ridicule a man with a condition like that... What I don't understand is why he would consider another job, the Dallas Cowboys of all teams,
when it could kill him. I know coaching is in his blood and he is only 54, but that is crazy.

Anyone that thought it wasn’t over after the Bama game is either an OSU homer or an idiot.

I find Meyer much more likable as a commentator than as a coach.
