Looks like Malcome Greene May flip to Clemson. Is that a surprise or part of the expected finish? Curious if anyone in the know could shed some light.

Not expected at all. Not happy about it either. Raymond really like this one, so we'll see who he gets replaced with. I'd expect his replacement to be before the 18th, so we'll move quickly

Kid is a stud so it sucks, but I always thought clemson was a huge school for Greene. Going to be interesting what direction they go to to replace him. Need another true safety in the class

Was hoping we could get him for ‘free’ in this class on academic scholly. He would have to sit out next year to do so. And maybe that was our offer and Clemson said they would let him play next year?

ETA (at 0 upvotes, 32 downvotes): Keep downvoting all you like. It doesn’t change the fact that this could have been a possible scenario. Greene’s academic accomplishments have been well documented. To quote our resident NCAA rules expert, Indiana Tiger:

quote:

He can be on academic scholarship. If he was a recruited athlete you don't have to count him until he plays in a game. So if he doesn't play at all his first year, he wouldn't count against the 25 initial counter limit (this is different from the 25 signee limit which he wouldn't ever count against. Confusing, I know, and it's almost a distinction without merit). In addition, after a year and he maintains a 3.0+ gpa, you wouldn't have to count him against the 85 either when he plays.

shite, maybe my favorite recruit in this class.

Guy is a genius and a playmaker. Will be a huge asset on the field and in the locker room.

Definitely a tough loss if he leaves, but at least there's time to make another move. If Reed wants in, is he good enough? If so, snatch him up now.

A little disconcerting that we have seen a few decommits and other recruits taking visits elsewhere in the days/weeks since that explosion of recruiting optimism. Now we are talking about backup plans?

Decamerion Richardson- out of Bossier High, 6-3/6-4 corner, just got back on official from Mississippi state and going to Tennessee on official this weekend. Elite speed, 2nd in the 200m, 3rd in 100m, and 2nd in high jump last year at the 4A state track meet. Under the radar guy, great kid, above 3.3 gpa if were in the market for a d-back
