You'd have to show me that one, but from the description you gave it doesn't sound like he was headhunting like Carter. Sounds like a stupid play where Shelvin was lucky to not hurt himself.
This? Come on, how is this remotely close to Carter's play

Hey I’m not saying it was smart on his part. Tony is pretty much Lattimore from The Program rofl.
The hit was a football play with more effort than was probably warranted.

Thought so you little bitch. Keep it to football if you don’t want to back up those dicksuckers you’re running. There is zero need to do anything but discuss football.

Not a proper hit, but not a dirty play. Call it targeting, that’s fair.

It was a brutal collision. I was on that sideline and it happened right in front of me. The Georgia player was knocked out, and Carter got up staggering around before players helped him toward the sideline.

Yeah leading with your helmet will do that. It wasn’t a smart move, really. Could have gotten himself hurt.

You play to the whistle, period. The only issue with the play is he hit him high. He should have hit him i the chest or stomach. Other than that. I’m fine with the non stop effort of tony carter.

Those other guys aren’t Tony “muthafrickin” Carter either.

Tony had his. The Georgia boy had his. He knew where tony would be. Film was watched.

His name is Tory, superfan.

If the kick would have been returned it would have been a clean hit. Tory doesn’t have the luxury of eyes in the back of his head to see the kick wasn’t returned. He was playing football, the UGA player was not.

The dude braced for the hit. Not a blindside

I mean, honestly it was the same type of hit that Jarvis Landry and Michael Clayton used to dish out on kickoff coverages. The rules have just change to try to prevent it now. I don't think it was an intentionally dirty play, but when the Georgia kid braced he lowered his head and that led to the targeting. Under current rules, Tory was rightfully ejected from the game. No problem with how it was all called, but it wasn't dirty. Just a freaking great hit that unfortunately had helmet-to-helmet involved.

That’s the risk every person who plays football takes. Just like a boxer can get brain damage. They know the risks.

Then I guess we should get rid of football right? Start up the petition. Call your congressman. Get on it baw.

We have some retarded arse fans!
10 years ago that was a clean hit! Leading with the Helmet is a penalty because it will reduce concussions so they say. I don’t think the kid lined up and said I am going for a penalty here

Back in the day the guy would have had his head in a swivel because the rules were different.
Carter may not be a punk, but that was a punk move.
And I agree that if one of the LSU players had been on the receiving end, the outrage would be deafening.

It was a passion play, but make no mistake, it was indeed dirty. He zeroed in on him fully well knowing two things: 1. The UGA player didn’t have a bead on him and 2. There was a touch back on. AND, he purposely used his helmet as a spear.
I understand getting jacked when you haven’t been getting offensive reps, but it’s no excuse to that.
Contrary to popular belief (here), that wasn’t cool.
