I think the problem is that so many men are so opportunistic and desperate that they put up with and reward any and all kinds of negative behaviors in women just so they can “get some”. I think of it like the girls on college campuses in oversized t-shirts and nike shorts with their hair in a messy bun. No one thinks that look is attactive, but because guys still give women positive attention despite them dressing that way, women still get the reward, and the behavior persists. If men were more choosey, they could disincentivize this behavior, but enough men have zero standards and zero self-control, so women are rewarded for all manners of self-indulgent and negative behaviors and rarely face any real push back from the opposite sex.
