I hate to say their offense is unstoppable, but when you watch film on them week after week like so many more qualified defensive coordinators and head coaches have, you quickly realize that LSU just has too damn many weapons to defend:
1. a well-coached quarterback with excellent mobility and downfield vision, who, when he tucks it and runs, gets a first down more often than anyone in the nation,
2. 3 pro-style wide outs (and 2 on the bench that could start at most any division 1 university) with outstanding route-running capabilities and hands like a first-round draft pick,
3. a strong tight end with the hands and feet of a wide receiver, and just when you think you can cover 4 downfield receivers who can not just run the deep route, but can also catch short routes and get plenty of yards after the catch, so you put your dime and nickel backs in to contain the downfield pass, LSU then hands to
4. an outstanding running back or checks to him in the flat for a beat-one-man-then-get-into-the-secondary for an attempted open-field tackle by a small nickel or dime back.
Yeah, this is a special year we're watching folks...I wish it wasn't over in January, because there isn't a college defense equipped or coached well enough to stop these 4 weapons.

These days you don't stop elite offenses. You slow them down by have an elite defense that can hold them to FGs and occasional stops. If you also have an elite offense you hope to get ahead a few scores and then trade scores up 14 and maybe stretch the lead after a stop.
If you have a UGA offense you want to limit LSU possessions with a ball control style of offense. The problem with that style is you need to score TDs because settling for FGs won't do it.
Another thing to slow an elite offense down is being a bit dirty. Toss a lineman into the QBs leg, take a 15 yarder blasting a QB or RB as they step out of bounds. I'm not condoning this at all just saying it is a way to shake a player up and get in their head. UCF did this to Joe last year and blasted him so damn hard he got up a brand new QB.

Rush 3 and drop 8, with the middle being a spy. But you have to do it out of different looks in terms of how you line up guys on the LOS and signal pressure, so Joe doesn't know exactly what you're doing. You have to bring an extra guy every now and then to keep us honest, though. Have to stunt linemen and try to create confusion and hope you have guys in the middle that can reset the line by pushing Lloyd/our guards back to throw off timing.
Even then, Joe is probably going to find a guy to complete to the majority of the time. Then you have to tackle.
We are very very difficult to stop, but that's what teams should do.

Tackle the receivers before the ball arrives and have briefcases of money available for the refs.

You can’t stop Peyton (with wheels), Edgerrin James and Reggie Wayne.
You just can’t.
Get them to the red zone where at best you can hold them to a couple field goals. Problem with that is CEH is a bitch to tackle down there.

Kidnap Joe Brady and food poison Joe Burrow and the receivers

Forfeit.

This is oversimplifying it, but get pressure with 4 and stop the run with 7. That’s how all great offenses have been neutralized since the 80’s and it will still work.

You can't, can only hope to contain it

Pray for a couple lucky/freak turnovers I guess
Pressure Burrow best I could, which wouldn’t work
Sacrifice my soul to satan I guess is about the only answer

Press coverage across the board. Live and die by stopping the short pass and run allowing a few deep passes to get over your defense. If your lucky you relegate LSU to low percentage throws and hope that you have playmakers in the secondary.

Trick question. Can't be done

Set Joe up with a clap infected coed.

I'd attempt practicing swapping postions in certain looks. Our offense puts TEs and RBs outside covered by corners. Put my fastest LBs and safeties out there and use 3 nickels

The only possible way this offense gets completely stopped is to send somebody down low late on Joe. Then, there's still the off chance that Brennan comes in and does the same shite to you, so that's no guarantee to work
Now, short of dirty and illegal, it would take a perfect defense to do. You'd have to have an elite offensive like similar to Auburn that can control the LOS on run plays and also get pressure by themselves in passing scenarios. You'd need 2-3 elite linebackers who can play a very strong zone in the middle of the field, and also react to the run quickly enough to chase down and tackle CEH on outside runs and screens. Your 4-5 secondary defenders would have to be elite man to man guys capable of running stride for stride with Marshall, Chase, Jefferson, but also agile enough to cut on a dime with Chase and Jefferson's route running, big enough and physical enough to match up size wise with Thad Moss. They'd also need to be able to effectively mix in zone coverage at will, because if Burrow and this offense see the same thing every time, they're going to find a way to beat it.
Good. Frickin. Luck.

Maybe wait for some old-school LSU coach to go conservative? Other than that, I got nothin!!
