I'm looking for a new recipe for burgers. The same ole salt, pepper, egg, bread crumb thing is getting well, old. I want to try something different, any suggestions?

I have a great Rachael Ray recipe at home... but can't find it online.
I usuaully sautee chopped garlic and onions and add to it. I always add grill seasoning or garlic pepper.
Know a guy that adds a pack of ranch dressing to his burgers and my boyfriend loves it, but I'm too chicken to try it.

I use Dale's sometimes to give it a different flavor.
Also, you could try "cajunburgers" by mixing in some hot sausage.

IMO, simple is better.
Plenty of kosher salt to coat the meat, fresh crushed black pepper and cook to medium.
The BUN is the key to a good hamburger. Onion rolls are great. And leafy lettuce completes it.

Last year my wife and I were watching an episode of Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. He was helping out this restaurant by assisting them with an easy but good hamburger recipe. My wife wrote down his recipe and tried it out for ourselves and were very pleased. Below was his ingredients for the burgers:
Chopped Beef
Salt
Pepper
Dijon Mustard
Worcestershire Sauce
Ketchup
Finely Chopped Red Onion
Three Egg Yolks

I'm just saying, I've made the burger and it was good... all opinions about the lady aside.

This is not hamburger. This is meatloaf.
Try this. Buy some 90/10. Sam's has some good ground beef. Make nice size patties with no seasoning. Then put nice amount of kosher salt and cracked black pepper on both sides. Grill high, hot and fast.
Or sprinkle bottom of dry, hot cast iron skillet with a layer of salt and toss patty into it. Do not touch until it releases from the bottom of the skillet. (and it will release-same as on a grill) Then turn and repeat.
A classic and the best.

This I've tried. Got the idea from The Shimmy Shack in Harahan. Great tasting burger.

Sound simple enough. Even I can't screw this up !

My wife received her cookbook as a gift one time and has used some of the recipes.
I've seen enough of her television shows to know she isn't a cook.

Do you find that the really lean ground meat dries out on the grill?

SO, YOU HAVEN'T TRIED EVERY ONE YET YOU FEEL THAT YOU CAN PASS JUDGMENT ON ALL OF THEM?
