The culture of Louisiana is based on a melting pot of races and ethnicities moreso than probably any other state, so this melt is a bit strange.

Take Ed Orgeron. Is he white? “Cajun”? Is Cajun “white”?

"Cajun" isn't a "race". Cajun is whitetrash the same way arkansas hillbilly and Alabama/Mississippi redneck is whitetrash.

Whitetrash by any other name is still whitetrash. Years ago, i watch a documentary on coonass country and one of the things studied was how many of the citizens in breaux bridge had one of two or three last names. They're all white and in the documentary, inbreeding among cousins and shite was a problem.
