I want to be #1 at the end, not 3 quarters of the way there.

Prepare to be aggied. That is not the narrative here. You’re supposed to be incensed that we dropped to 2.

Because if LSU is 1...they get to play in Atlanta. And likely avoid Clemson and Ohio State in round 1. LSU should get the benefit given the schedule they have had to play to get there.

I'm with you Tigeralltheway.
I just want us to get in the door---after that it will sort itself out and if we are the best team---we'll win 2 no matter where we are seeded.

I'm sorry, but I have to ask this question: How many threads do we really need of people asking who cares, or insinuating it doesn't matter?
This has been addressed. Who cares? Everyone who has posted that they care. Why do we care? Because there is a difference in difficulty of having to play Clemson and Ohio State, rather than an underwhelming Utah team, or a Tua-less Bama, in the first round. Just as it would be highly preferable to OSU, that they not have to play Clemson and LSU.
There's more to consider than just "woot woot, we're in! Who care's about anything else?!".

It’s pretty simple. If you are number 1, you get an easier game in the semis. Being number 2, you probably have to beat Clemson and Ohio St.

That's what I said. I just used a few more words to break it down for those who refuse to consider this fact.

Exactly...if we are who we appear to be...and we are, order does not matter. Let it play out as it needs to do. It really is not an issue.....
This is our year no matter what the talking heads throw out for controversy. Its all theater, peeps..Relax.

Years like this, I'm just glad that we have a playoff and it's not just #1 vs #2. I could easily see LSU being screwed over for Ohio State vs Clemson. Because "eye test" and "muh defense".

Most people that understand that it helps to play the 4 seed in Atlanta in lieu of the #3 seed (Clemson) on Glendale.
It's also a lot easier as a fan to travel to Atlanta vs Glendale obviously.

If you want to be the man, you have to beat the man. It’s the national semi and final, there are no easy games. You’re either good or great
